I really got my money's worth at Hotel Causeway. The bed was super comfy and the room size was great. Plus, the hotel's location in the middle of the CBD was perfect - we could easily walk or use the free city trams to get around. The staff were friendly and the included WiFi was a nice bonus.
Hotel breakfast could use some improvement, maybe more variety or options.

The hotel had a central position. I recommend you to eat at Hopetoun Tea Rooms, that is set 400 feet away. During my stay I visited royal exhibition building that was 10 minutes on foot: D

Located in the heart of downtown, this hotel is situated near several shops and restaurants. the rooms are comfortable and cozy, complete with complimentary WIFI and helpful staff. It provides easy access to the central shopping district, making it convenient who love to shop.
The hotel requires a security deposit which takes days to process.

The security and location are what I would mostly recommend about this hotel.
The condition of the facilities was quite disappointing, the paint and edging on a number of the doors, tiles etc was extremely worn and peeling off. We had a business desk in our room, rather than a small dining table and chairs.

The location was excellent for getting to places, staff were friendly and helpful, the room and bed were comfortable and clean, 24-hour front desk service was convenient.
Nothing, all great.

Central to the main attractions of Melbourne.
Decor needs to be upgraded i.e. sold to us as an executive Queen Room. What we found was no quite that.

Great value for money! The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city and close to all the shopping and restaurants. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even letting us check in early. The room was spacious and functional, with everything we needed. Plus, we were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary snacks and drinks in the room.
The hotel could use some updates and a fresh coat of paint, especially in the hallways. Also, there were some noise issues, as our room faced the street and it was sometimes hard to sleep.

The location was brilliant, easy access to the city.
Water leaked all over floor when showering, and the king size bed was just 2 singles pushed together.

Checking out was to slow, Having a trainee on the desk at checkout time with no help from other staff was not acceptable.I'm still waiting on my receipt I asked for.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the hotel facilities were top-notch. The location couldn't have been better, as it was in the center of town and within walking distance to everything we wanted to do in this city. Additionally, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.
Nothing not to love.

Staff were very helpfull. Rooms very clean. Very close to all amentities. In the price we had a continental breakfast which was very nice. Just enough to get the day started.
They need to clean the curtains and fixup the curtains that don't go to the top of the window. Too much light comes in.

Very central for shopping and city sights. Close to transport. Lots of cafes to choose from and near major theaters.
The room was too small when two ladies are getting ready to go our. Bathroom cramped. Not enough convenient power points for hair straightened and phone charger. Hard to find space to iron my dress.
